The Catalogue Search Booster is designed to improve search results by adding additional search terms to catalogue items in bulk.

Currently, SimPRO returns catalogue search results for three fields:

• Part numbers

• Description (item name)

• Search Terms (blank by default)

With a catalogue of thousands of items, it can sometimes be hard to find what you are looking for if you don't know the exact part name or number.

For example, if you are searching for "a Clipsal Outlet" you may not get any results, as the item name could be "GPO" or "Powerpoint", even if the item sits in an "Outlets" group. Adding the group name to the search terms will ensure that searching for "outlets" returns search results.

Similarly, while the Clipsal series part numbers usually begin with "CLI", searching for "Clipsal" will not normally return the part, even if it is listed as the manufacturer. Adding the manufacturer and/or supplier to the search terms can give you a more intuitive parts search.

The Catalogue Search Booster can add the following fields to your search terms in bulk:

• Group and Sub-Group Names

• Manufacturer

• Universal Product Code

• Supplier Name or Additional Custom Search Terms
